Rittal And Phoenix Contact Set Out on New Zealand
Truck Tour
Auckland, 24 March 2009 –
Rittal, a leading worldwide provider of enclosure
technologies, has joined forces with Phoenix Contact and
John Brooks Ltd and set out on its annual truck tour of New
Zealand with the aim of visiting hundreds of companies and
showcasing innovation over the next three months.
This year’s truck tour, themed as Power for The Future, will showcase:
• The Rittal RiMatrix product range,
including network and server racks, power management,
cooling, monitoring, IT security and interactive terminal
systems.
• The Phoenix Contact range of industrial
electrical and electronic technology, including connection,
interface and automation solutions.
• The John Brooks
range of industrial transmission and automation
components.
Mark Hastings, New Zealand Manager, Phoenix Contact, said, “Time is money in this ever-increasing increasing competitive world. In addition, companies need to move quickly to maintain and optimise their business advantage. While tradeshows showcase innovation they are only staged in city centres and are not always scheduled at convenient times and locations.
“Our truck tour combines the expertise and innovation of Rittal, Phoenix Contact and John Brooks and enables us to directly showcase our knowledge and products at our customer and prospect locations.
“At the same time, we gain expert knowledge and feedback from our customers, partners and industry consultants which then provides us with a springboard for developing new applications, solutions, and training programs.”
Last year, more than 2,000 customers throughout New Zealand walked through the Rittal and Phoenix Contact display vehicles, while the trucks visited more than 200 businesses and travelled over 9,500 kilometres. The tour enabled Rittal managers to provide quotes on site which resulted in immediate orders.
The 2009 truck tour commenced on 23 March in Invercargill and finishes on 16 June in Whangarei. A series of competitions and prize draws will be staged throughout the tour.
