Angela Berrill Announced As Weight Management Expert For Jenny Craig

Jenny Craig is proud to announce the appointment of Angela Berrill as the company’s new weight management expert for New Zealand. Angela will provide nutritional advice and commentary for Jenny Craig around weight management issues.

“We are delighted to have Angela on board,” says Amy Smith, Managing Director of Jenny Craig, Australia and New Zealand. “Her extensive knowledge and track-record in assisting clients to reach healthy weight goals will be a great asset to our customers in New Zealand.”

Angela’s interest in Jenny Craig sparked after seeing the profound impact the program has had in reducing the weight of Australian comedian Magda Szubanski. The larger than life star, who plays Sharon on the hit TV series Kath & Kim, has already shed a whopping 75cm off her frame.

“I have watched Magda’s weightloss journey with great interest and am impressed with her progress,” she says. “I’m really looking forward to working with Magda and the Jenny Craig team to help New Zealanders reach their weight loss goals and learn how to make lifestyle changes for the better.”

Angela is a nutrition consultant with her own practice, ABC Nutrition, in Auckland and offers nutritional counsel to TV3’s Target. She has previously worked for Fonterra where she was involved in launching nutritionally focused products around the globe.

“With one in three New Zealand adults being overweight[1] (36.3%) and one in four being obese (26.5%), it is now just as important as ever to try to achieve and maintain a healthy weight,” says Angela. “A reduction of as little as 10% of your body weight, has been shown to help reduce your risk factors for a number of health conditions, including heart disease.”
