Growth Against The Grain

MEDIA RELEASE 6 APRIL 2009

Growth Against The Grain

Call it media hype, call it low interest rates, call it what you will. But new real estate agency, Custom Residential, is assured that the phenomenal growth it’s experienced since launching in December is because it is practicing exactly what it preaches. Strong work ethic, non-complacent attitude, honest approach and a passion for what they do.

With a team of 10 and still recruiting, they have sold ten houses, are listing new properties each week and have seen strong growth (and phenomenal feedback) on the company website all in just three months.

John Wills, Founder and Business Development Manager for Custom Residential comments, “We were quietly confident about making an early impact, but it is great to be able to back up that confidence with figures. People have a tendency to get a little over analytical with the housing market and one company’s success over another’s struggle. Our success is based on a very simple formula – we work hard, communicate honestly with all our clients and genuinely care about the end result for everyone involved. We know we are dealing in homes not houses and the extra attention that that requires, really pays off for our vendors. Our open homes are busy, our website is proving to be popular and the sales speak for themselves. All we need now are more good people as demand for our services continues to grow”

John Wills has also experienced exceptional feedback for his book, “Wages Don’t Work”, a comprehensive guide to how anybody can climb to the top of the tree in the real estate industry. This backs up his claims that the industry needs new people to improve the whole industry and that sincerity and honesty will help achieve success. The Custom Residential team includes a diverse range of age and experience, all contributing to the “keeping it real” attitude that runs throughout.

Wills continues, “We have seen a lot of clients using the current market to step up the property ladder, and we have seen a lot of people cashing up assets, but the sheer number of people who have approached us wanting to ‘talk property’ tells us it is a pretty buoyant market and our approach of marketing homes on a one on one basis rather than auctioning multiple properties conveyor-belt style seems to resonate with many.”
