New Directors Appointed To Boards

Christchurch City Holdings Announces Appointment Of New Directors To The Boards Of Orion Nz Ltd And Christchurch City Networks Ltd

Bob Lineham, CEO of Christchurch City Holdings Ltd has announced that CCHL have recently ap-pointed two new directors to two of its subsidiary companies. “These appointments continue our policy of appointing quality directors to the boards of our subsidiaries to ensure that good govern-ance oversight is in operation throughout the group” said Mr Lineham.

Mr Geoff Vazey has been appointed to the board of Orion NZ Ltd. Mr Vasey has strong commercial and governance experience with the last 20 years being involved with infrastructure at the Ports of Auckland. CCHL consider that his experience managing infrastructure assets. Risk management and interacting with government are valuable skills that will benefit the Orion board.

Mr Vazey has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) with Honours and is a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Engineers NZ. He is currently a professional director and is Chairman of HEB Con-struction Ltd, a civil contracting company, director of Northland Port Corporation Ltd and North Port Ltd. He is Chairman of the Advisory Committee of Lloyds Register NZ and a Member of the Insti-tute of Directors.

Mr Wes Bernard has been appointed to the board of Christchurch City Networks Ltd, the relatively new broadband network company company owned by CCHL. Mr Bernard is currently the Chief Technology officer of SunGard AvantGard and the Managing Director of SunGard Systems NZ, which is based here in Christchurch and is a global leader in software and processing solutions for financial services, educational institutions and the public sector. His experience covers not only the telecommunications, financial and energy sectors but also retail distribution and logistics manage-ment

Mr Lineham said that CCHL, supported by Christchurch City Council, are delighted to have made these appointments.
