Beat the transport blues
Beat the transport blues
Tired of waiting for the
bus? Fed up with the cost of running two cars when all you
really need is one? Then try scootering.
In New Zealand for the first time, the latest Revo Sprint, stand-on electric motor scooters are available through a brand new company, www.espeed.co.nz.
With the price of fuel high, the cost of running two cars high and buses and rail costs set to increase, what could be better than a stand-on electric scooter to take you wherever you want to go: just charge it up and hop on! No more sitting at bus stops or looking for somewhere to park the car. Accepted on the ferries and on the trains, the scooter will end long, sweaty, uphill walks and make you master of your own timetable.
“It’s been great,” says espeed director Nick Griffiths. “We bought one for my wife when her job moved. The scooter saves her 50 minutes a day on her commute time, she can take it on the ferry and she doesn’t need to get changed or have a shower when she gets to work.”
Griffiths says so many people enquired about the scooter, he decided to set up the business. “You can take them almost anywhere. They do more than 15km on a full charge, and if you’ve got a longer round trip, the charger is small enough to take with you.”
The Revo Sprint stand-on electric scooters are available now in New Zealand at just $1190 plus GST.
