Great government help at the expo

The government stands at the country’s largest event for business, the Bizzone Business Expo, will have some of the best free information on offer when it opens in Auckland on 27 May.

Anything you need to set up or run a business will be available at the Statistics NZ Business Information Zone and MED’s business.govt = Online Services Zone.

“New Zealand is now rated as the easiest country in the world to start a business and you can do just that at the Bizzone Business Expo,” organiser and entrepreneur Sarah Trotman says. “At the government zones you have all the information to go right ahead; starting a business couldn’t be easier.”

This year’s government stands have a wealth of free support on offer for business. At Statistics NZ business owners are encouraged to get statistical information to help with their start-up and growth plans. From MED business owners have a range of different support initiatives that will really help; team members will take business owners through their online portal business govt.nz, where businesses can learn to start, manage and grow their business, set up a company online and protect IP. Also at Bizzone there will be Inland Revenue, The Department of Labour, ACC – Working for Business and Work and Income.

More than 86% of respondents who visited government stands at recent expos rated the overall business or information offered at government stands as excellent or good.

At the Statistics NZ Business Information Zone people can get valuable information on target markets, business activity by region, how to target new customers, import and export trends, changes in the cost of labour, living and the productive sector as well as regional market conditions.
