Kiwifruit Cooperative Satara One Hundred Percent Behind Single Desk Marketing

AX-listed kiwifruit cooperative Satara clearly and unequivocally backs the present single desk marketing arrangements in the kiwifruit industry, in a statement issued today.

Satara chief executive Wes Anderson-Smith said recent comments that Satara was in favour of doing away with the single desk arrangement are incorrect and are misleading therefore clarification was needed.

“Let’s be very clear; Satara fully supports the continuation of the single desk. We believe Zespri is doing a very good job for growers.”

Anderson-Smith says there is a lot of value in the single desk and anything that could detract from that focus is likely to be to the detriment of the industry and growers.
