Free Online Booking Engine with Jasons

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Kiwi Activity Operators to get Free Online Booking Engine with Jasons

Jasons Travel Media, New Zealand’s leading provider of accommodation and activities information, has announced the launch of a new activities booking engine which would be provided free of charge to all activity operators with a paid listing on Jasons.com

The company formally announced the new initiative at a function for Christchurch Tourism Operators on Thursday 18 June.  “This is the first time that Kiwi activity operators have had access to an instant availability booking engine free of charge” said CEO Matthew Mayne. “Not only is there no monthly charge for the engine, but it is also 100% commission-free.”

The activity-booking engine allows travel enthusiasts to book an activity directly from the operator’s listing on Jasons.com.    However the company also unveiled a sophisticated accommodation ‘widget’ technology which would allow activities operators to add a similar booking function to their own website quickly and easily.

It’s our job to provide our clients with the tools they need in a fast-changing online world” said Matthew Mayne.  “Gone are the days when operators could keep up with the web by brushing up on their HTML.  We’ve invested heavily in this sort of technology so our clients don’t have to.”

The activity operator is notified of any new reservations via the activity-booking engine by email and SMS.  Inventory and reservations are managed easily via a basic web-based console, which also provides the ability to fine tune pricing and availability whenever the operator likes.

“This is a major step forward for the New Zealand activity industry,” said Mr Mayne.  “For the first time, a major website has committed to providing online bookings completely free of monthly charges or commissions.”
