Secondary market for tickets now available

Secondary market for tickets - www.MarketPrice.co.nz - now available

Auckland, New Zealand - June 30, 2009 - MarketPrice NZ Ltd announced the public launch of "MarketPrice" - their innovative secondary market for event tickets. MarketPrice is New Zealand's first and only specialist marketplace for trading sports, concert and other event tickets. MarketPrice brings simplicity, transparency and a dedicated focus to the resale market for event tickets.

The MarketPrice service is now available to New Zealand residents, as a free public beta at www.MarketPrice.co.nz. The service brings innovations to online trading, aiming to simplify and democratise the process for both buyers and sellers. The MarketPrice website is uniquely organised to provide a simple and comprehensive overview of marketplace activity to users making important pricing decisions. This enables sellers to price their listings without fear of being too high or too low, and it enables buyers to make an educated judgement about the fair market price.

The website's unique approach to online trading also allows "For Sale" and "Wanted" listings to be added to the marketplace by users with as little as 2 clicks. By aggregating listings for any particular event into a unified page called a 'Market', MarketPrice rids users of the need to classify, describe and upload photos for their listings.

MarketPrice puts the determination of a fair price for event tickets firmly into the hands of the fans.

Alexey Kojevnikov, sales and marketing director for MarketPrice, explains: "Organising the exchange into 'Markets' allows us to do some really interesting things. For example, both buyers and sellers can finally make informed pricing decisions based on a quick overview of the state of the entire market: the number of 'For Sale' and 'Wanted' listings, individual prices and the overriding 'fair' marketprice. It also means our users can simply add listings to an existing Market, without the hassle of going through classification, or having to write a brilliant sales spiel."

Events available on MarketPrice at the time of launch include: MGMT, The Bledisloe Cup, Mamma Mia, Starlight Express, French & Saunders First and Final Farewell NZ Tour and all Auckland sessions of the New Zealand International Film Festival.

MarketPrice will also support the secondary market for tickets to the much talked-about Green Day concert in Auckland. Kojevnikov elaborates: "The availability of tickets to the Green Day concert will be highly controlled, with just 300 being made available on the first day of sale. I think this move will stir an increase in uncertainty for fans, and with it, an increase in unfulfilled demand. This means some fans will unfortunately miss out. Luckily, those Green Day fans who miss out can place 'Wanted' listings on MarketPrice to instantly be noticed by potential sellers."

MarketPrice is now available to New Zealand residents as a free public beta at www.MarketPrice.co.nz.
