New Vintage, New Show Success

New Vintage, New Show Success

Saint Clair Family Estate is pleased to announce the success of the newly released Saint Clair Pioneer Block 18 Snap Block Sauvignon Blanc 2009 at the Romeo Bragato Wine Awards 2009. It was awarded the Champion Sauvignon Blanc and New Zealand Wine Cellars Spence Brothers Trophy.

This combined with the Champion Gewruztraminer Trophy for the Saint Clair Pioneer Block 12 Lone Gum Gewurztraminer 2008 further cements the reputation of Saint Clair Family Estate as a leading New Zealand wine producer.

Saint Clair Family Estate was awarded a total of two trophies and four gold medals at the Bragato Wine Awards recently held from 20th-22nd August. Romeo Bragato, (1895-1912) a significant influence to the New Zealand wine industry dedicated to viticulture expertise showed a strong focus on quality in the vineyard. This is also a key aspect to the success of Saint Clair Family Estate, which has identified regional differences throughout Marlborough and utilised these in small parcel winemaking to create quality at each and every price point.

Other trophy winning wineries at the Romeo Bragato Wine Awards 2009 included Villa Maria, Vic Williams Selection, Haythornthwaite, Ohau Gravels, Sacred Hill, Aravin, Craggy Range, Esk Valley and Palliser Estate, all being recognised for their viticultural excellence and creating unique world class wines.

The family owned winery strives for excellence and has a strong desire to exceed their customers every expectation. This is only achieved by the unique Marlborough climate and soils along with viticulture expertise and the proven experience of one of New Zealandʼs leading winemaking teams. Unique qualities from specified vineyard sites have enabled Saint Clair Family Estate to provide superior wines across the entire range.
