News on ROYAL COMMISSION OF INQUIRY PETITION

News on ROYAL COMMISSION OF INQUIRY PETITION

As many of you are aware, on behalf of EUFA, Suzanne Edmonds petitioned the House of Representatives to establish a ‘Royal Commission of Inquiry’ to investigate the finance companies crisis.

This morning the Commerce Committee has invited Suzanne Edmonds to present a written and ORAL submission to the Committee on Thursday 10 September 2009. THIS IS GOOD NEWS.

Good news, even though it is ‘one step at a time’ is positive and we must be encouraged by it.

With the Committee already planning an Inquiry, it is important that we put a good case forward and we appeal for your input through the organisation.

The meeting is open to the Public and we encourage people to attend if possible, however we understand that travel cost and health issues do prevent this happening for many of you. If you wish to be part of the written submission, please send it to us by 4 September 2009 (by email is better eufanz@xtra.co.nz ) as it has to be at the Committee by 7 September 2009.

If you wish your submission to be anonymous we will include it in the general submission. If you want to be indentified it will go in separately under heading ‘Individual submissions’.

Interested parties, who are not directly victims but wish to see a Royal Commission of Inquiry should also submit through this office.
