Yealands
Estate appoints skilled duo to its business development
team
Yealands Estate has appointed two respected wine professionals to newly-created business development roles in the central-North and South Islands.
Greg Bell will manage the Central and Lower North Island region including the nation’s capital and James Mc Donald will represent Yealands Estate in the South Island.
Both Greg and James join Yealands Estate from Pernod Ricard and will be charged with developing Yealands Estate brands in their regions in all business channels working alongside Hancocks Wine & Spirits.
“Greg and James both have a real passion for wine – and experience in managing large territories. These skills will help us continue to build our relationships and market share in these key regions,” says Peter Yealands, owner and founder of Yealands Estate.
With more than 12 years of liquor industry experience, Greg Bell has held Field Sales Management roles in the Central North Island. Greg says the ‘can do’ attitude and family values at Yealands Estate, makes him feel very lucky to be part of the company.
“The amazing stories just in the first year fill me with great confidence about where Yealands Estate will be in the years to come,” says Greg.
James too has a strong pedigree within the wine industry having worked in Field Sales, Business and Territory Management roles with a sum of 18 years experience in the FMCG industry.
“I was drawn to Yealands because of the core values around sustainability, innovation and quality – it’s easy to become passionate about these things along with a great product from an energetic company,” says James.
These, and other recent sales and marketing appointments, are a key part of Yealands’ national growth strategy.
