Announcement of Maxnet CEO Departure

Auckland, 24 September 2009 - Maxnet’s CEO, Brett Herkt has announced his resignation effective 25 September.

Brett has served Maxnet for more than 10 years including roles initially as an external consultant, company director, GM of operations and finance and then six years as CEO.

“He has led the company's development from a young mass market ISP into a business focused ICT provider with an enterprise level Data Centre," says Chairman Doug Kemsley.

"The company expresses its warm thanks to Brett for leading Maxnet through most of our challenging formative years, growing the company's revenues and establishing a profitable, sustainable position in the market.”

Says Herkt, “It is time to move onto a fresh challenge with opportunity for further career development and I will be taking time to consider various business and employment opportunities. I appreciate the company's support in my coming to this decision and look forward to their ongoing success.”

Maxnet has appointed John Hanna as interim CEO. John has an extensive background in sales, marketing and leadership in IT companies and having been an advisor to Maxnet over the past year is well suited to lead the company until a permanent replacement is found.
