Mad Dog puts operations on hold until after Maritime NZ audit
Mad Dog Riverboarding has voluntarily suspended operations until after a Maritime New Zealand audit is conducted next week.
Company Director Brad McLeod says he respects people’s concerns and is taking them seriously.
“We take our responsibilities as an adventure tourism operator incredibly seriously. I’m doing everything in my power to co-operate with the authorities and industry to make sure we’ve reviewed, audited and implemented any changes to our operations,” he says.
Alongside the Maritime safety review Mr McLeod is proactively seeking an external audit by ROSA (Register of Outdoor Safety Auditors) and an independent peer review by the rafting industry.
