FIFTH PATRON FOR PRIDE IN PRINT

Pride In Print has been given a huge endorsement by the decision of leading digital print solutions provider Aarque Graphics to become the organisation’s fifth patron.

Aarque joins Heidelberg, Spicers Paper, Huber Group (Hostmann- Steinberg) and Fuji Xerox as the leading supporters of the Pride in Print Awards, which have grown in stature since their establishment in 1993 to promote excellence in print in New Zealand.

Allister Jeans, National Sales and Marketing Manager for Aarque Graphics says the company sees it as a great honour and privilege to be accepted as the fifth patron.

“Through the recognition of achievement and celebration of success, Pride In Print provides the encouragement for innovation, and continued improvement helps to define our industry,” he says.

Leo Bult of Aarque Graphics adds: “Aarque can track its involvement with the graphics communication industry back to 1948, and it would be fair to say that we have seen our fair share of change in this relatively-short period of time, and none more so than print.

“We are passionate about print, and consider the New Zealand industry being at the leading edge. And it is for this reason that Aarque Graphics looks to continue and enhance its level of support for the future.”

Award Manager Sue Archibald says the added support of Aarque is a tremendous boost at a time of change.

“Aarque is not only one of New Zealand’s leading providers in digital print solutions, it is a company with a very strong presence in the industry, and a culture of quality and environmental responsibility. This is exactly the type of culture Pride in Print aims to encourage.

“When we started nearly two decades ago many buyers of print were purchasing offshore and the initial focus of the campaign was to raise the profile of the New Zealand print industry to New Zealand buyers.

“Since then, the Awards have grown in status and size. Each industry sector seems to continually achieve higher performance levels.

“Pride In Print success has paved the way for marketing success on the national and international scene, as has been proved by past winners who have gone on to use their medals as a testimonial to their quality standards.

“Now, with Aarque giving its public endorsement and support to Pride In Print in the future, we are sure we will move to still higher levels of achievement for our industry.”
