The Ultimate Rubbish
Bag
Achieves national distribution deal with Progressive and Warehouse Stationary
The Green-One…An Oxo-Biodegradable rubbish bag range which launches nationwide from the 12th of October.
With support from supermarket giants Countdown, Foodtown, Woolworths and retail stationary leaders Warehouse Stationary, the Green-One range formally known as Greensac will be available to all New Zealand consumers nationwide.
The distribution deal between Pacrite Industries Ltd and retailers represents a major breakthrough for the first and only comprehensive range of Oxo-Biodegradable rubbish bags on the New Zealand Market.
The product launch to date has been a stunning and rapid success with retail and consumer demand exceeding all expectations. The Green-One represents a revolutionary advance in consumer plastics, providing benefits to the environment through plastic waste reduction, recyclability and benefits for the customer in terms of product variety and affordability.
The Green-One Range of Oxo-Biodegradable rubbish bags are available in a range of different sizes and structures to cover the home, office, garden and general refuse. The products are manufactured here in New Zealand incorporating recycled plastics and are printed using non toxic water based inks. Through state of the art manufacturing, a product has been developed which not only has less impact on the environment, but is strong, durable and visually appealing to consumers.
The Green-One has a pre-determined and vastly reduced life span. It is estimated that a normal plastic bag may take 30 or 50 years to break down where as the Green-One can start to degrade in as little as 18 months. Following their useful life, the bags will begin the breakdown process. This can occur on land or at sea, in wind, or rain, in sunlight or darkness, in conditions both hot and cold, wherever oxygen is present. The Green-One will completely break down leaving no known harmful residues (non-toxic biomass) and unlike other biodegradable products, release no Methane gas at any stage during the breakdown process and can be recycled within regular New Zealand recycling systems. Further information can be found at www.thegreenone.co.nz.
Originally sold and marketed as Greensac, the brand name has now been changed to the Green-One. In light of the nationwide launch into major retailers and international interest in the products it was decided that the name change was more suited to future brand strategies. The new name provides a perfect platform for branded product range expansion. Market research indicated that consumers were naturally referring to our product as the Green-One so the new name was an obvious choice.
The important issue has always been to provide New Zealand consumers with improved packaging options. Plastic bags and packaging are necessary and used by everyone. However, not all plastic bags have to be a contributor to waste.
The Green-One provides New Zealand consumers a choice. It’s plastic…with a difference.
