Powerlynk proposes new community fund for Energy
Trust
The Powerlynk ticket for the Auckland Energy Consumer Trust election has announced an exciting new plan to establish a community fund to support community-based power saving and energy projects.
“Powerlynk will establish the PowerUp Auckland Fund to support families, community groups, schools, libraries, public swimming pools, and sports clubs with power savings initiatives and energy generation projects,” says Powerlynk candidate and current trustee Shale Chambers.
“Auckland has big issues with energy efficiency and power generation. This innovative fund will save our community money on energy costs by delivering insulation, solar power, efficient heating, hot water, and micro wind turbines to our schools, public buildings and family homes.
