LexisNexis Appoints Managing Director in New Zealand

Hugo Mahoney brings sales and marketing expertise from LexisNexis UK

AUCKLAND, 4 November 2009 – LexisNexis New Zealand, a leading provider of content-enabled workflow solutions, announced the appointment of Hugo Mahoney to the role of managing director, effective January 2010. As managing director of the New Zealand business, Mahoney will be part of the Pacific executive management team covering Australia and New Zealand.

Mahoney is currently the sales and marketing director for the LexisNexis business in the UK, where he is responsible for leading major sales transformation initiatives that have contributed significantly to the growth of the company. Under his leadership, the UK sales organisation has evolved from a traditional publishing and product-based function to a business that offers a diverse and compelling range of integrated IT, service and content solutions to the legal, tax, public sector and corporate markets.

Before joining LexisNexis, Mahoney held a range of sales, marketing and general management positions in the pharmaceutical, consumer goods and telecommunications sectors, including several years with Coca-Cola Enterprises UK, and Cable & Wireless.
