New World Remuera is Complete – Let’s Party!

The new and improved New World Remuera is opening its aisles to celebrate its multimillion-dollar makeover on Wednesday 18 November 2009 at 6.30pm.

Owner Operator Adrian Barkla is throwing a party to thank his customers for the patience they have displayed while he has transformed their local supermarket into something bigger and brighter than ever before.

“It has been a massive project and we know what an inconvenience it has been for our regulars. So I just want to throw a party to show how much I have appreciated their loyal support,” says Adrian.

The evening will be a show of song and dance with comedian Mark Wright acting as MC for an evening of Moet, nibbles, and laughter.

Other entertainment will include performances by Natasha Hodson Jazz Dancers, and singer Latafele Aauva, a Year 11 student from St Cuthbert’s College.

The supermarket has been extended by approximately 30% and has had a full internal refurbishment including 2 new exterior walls. When finished, the work will have taken more than 12 months to complete. Look out for the car park makeover to be completed in January 2010.

New World Remuera plays a huge part in the local community, supporting the surrounding schools and not-for-profit groups as well as working closely with the Remuera Business Association.
