Waikato service businesses lift strongly in November
New orders for Waikato services businesses lifted to 61.1 on the BNZ Capital/Business New Zealand Performance of Services Index (PSI) steering the sector overall strongly back towards growth.
“The PSI for Waikato overall registered 54.9 with New Orders the stand out subset,” said EMA Waikato chair, Jack Ninnes.
“Sales and deliveries are up too, at 56.9 and 55.2 respectively (above 50 indicates expansion, below 50 indicates contraction).
“Though employment has yet to start growing, judging by these figures, service businesses will be looking to hire in the New Year.”
