Electric Sports Car lines up with Bikes
Green technology does not have to mean compromise on performance. That is one of the messages for ZeroNOW Day this Anniversary Monday at Te Manawa in Palmerston North. To prove the point, among the confirmed exhibits are two electric sports motorcycles and a locally produced Saker electric sports car.
Killacycle from the USA is the world’s quickest electric drag bike is a star attraction of the event. The Astara, a converted Triumph Daytona 955 from the Kapiti Coast, offers an electric sports bike for everyday road use. It too will make the journey to Palmerston North. Lining up alongside the two wheel machines is the locally produced Saker electric sports car, a high performance vehicle developed by Greenstage and Bunnythorpe based engineer, Bruce Turnbull.
The ZeroNOW Day exhibition is at Te Manawa on Anniversary Day, Monday 25 January 2010, at Te Manawa on Main Street in Palmerston North.
