Loyalty New Zealand Expands

Loyalty New Zealand Expands

Loyalty New Zealand (LNZ), the operator of Fly Buys, has opened a new Auckland office and made three appointments to complete its team and to strengthen its nationwide presence.

Chief Executive Officer Andy Symons says it’s a sign of the company’s continued growth despite last year’s recession.

“Offering Fly Buys helps retailers attract new shoppers, reward loyal ones, and market to shoppers in a more cost effective way. In this tough retail environment we’re seeing more and more businesses interested in joining the programme.

“Last year thirteen new companies started issuing Fly Buys Points, and Fly Buys e-stores launched with some of New Zealand’s largest brands on board.

“Wellington will remain our HQ, but the City of Sails office means cultivating a closer working relationship with Auckland based partners, the team and the iconic Fly Buys brand.”

The premises, opened last week, will be permanently occupied by four LNZ staff from Account Management and Business Development but will also be a base for Wellington team members working with Auckland based clients.

As well as a new office, LNZ has bolstered its Business Development, Account Management and Digital Marketing functions with three appointments.

Two new staff, Debs Nash, New Participant Development Manager and Grant Reid, Key Account Manager – On Account, are based in Auckland. Brook Milbank, Digital Marketing Manager joins the 12-strong marketing team in Wellington.

Profiles of the new starters:

Brook Milbank, Digital Marketing Manager.
Before joining Loyalty New Zealand, Brook was Marketing Operations Manager at Telecom. In her career she has worked for Bond and Bond as Marketing Manager, Telecom as Loyalty Manager for Mobile and has held various roles for News Digital Media (a News Ltd company) and Fairfax Digital in Sydney. Brook has relocated from Auckland for this role, and says she is excited about working with a data-rich customer database. Im also thrilled to be working with such a dynamic bunch of people on ensuring our digital marketing is relevant to our Members.

Debs Nash, New Participant Development Manager.
Debs has been contracting for Loyalty New Zealand for the past eight months in this role. Her background is in sales management, and acquisition and retention. She’s had previous positions at Southern Cross Healthcare, IBM and the NZ Herald. The varied nature of the role is one of the challenges she faces. “Everyday I’m talking to different industries and learning about their businesses. It might be loyalty for a security firm in the morning and then fashion label in the afternoon, or a smal business then a corporate giant that makes it fantastic and always interesting,' explains Debs.

Grant Reid, Key Account Manager – On Account.
After five years spent in account management at NZ Post, Grant brings with him senior account management experience, gained with banking, financial services and publishing clients. Grant took up his new post at LNZ on February 1st. He says the role appealed to him as it has a much wider scope than his past role. “It’s much more than mail alone, there's a full suite of options for clients and they view Fly Buys as an integral partner which is great.

Debs and Grant both report to Lance Walker, Head of Fly Buys, and Brook joins the team led by Chris Lamers, Head of Marketing and Product Development.
