NHNZ reinforcing China ties
NHNZ reinforcing China ties
Dunedin
based production company NHNZ has strengthening its China
based operations by appointing award winning producer Kyle
Murdoch as Senior Producer China Projects.
Mr Murdoch who for the past three years has been looking after NHNZ's growing slate of China based productions will be based in Beijing, where his wife Ella and three young children are joining him. He is joining the company’s existing team there tasked to identify and grow new business opportunities.
NHNZ Managing Director Michael Stedman says Mr Murdoch’s relocation to Beijing is part of NHNZ’s commitment to being the largest and strongest Western producer of documentaries about China for the international market. “I'm acutely aware of the need for ongoing face-to-face contact if we are to continue to grow,” he says.
Apart from working on important relationships, Mr Murdoch will be concentrating on the development of ideas and seeking out production partner opportunities.
Mr Murdoch says NHNZ has been making programmes in and about China for more than a decade now. “We are already producing up to hours per year for the international market about China, but we believe we can double that figure.”
