Conference-Goers Spoilt For Choice

Conference-Goers Spoilt For Choice

Conference-goers are to be spoilt for choice in Wellington this year, with the Duxton Hotel Wellington offering its widest range of conference packages ever.

Breakfast, cocktails or conference packages that include an overnight stay are part of a new selection that offers something for both the time-poor and budget-savvy.

The breakfast or cocktail conference options start at $35 per person including breakfast, or $55 for cocktails. Both deals include free audio visual hire up to the value of $100. Starting at $55 per delegate, the Duxton Day Delegate Package is also one of the best value one-day conference packages available.

James Cowan, Duxton Wellington Sales and Marketing Director says that the hotel wanted to give conference organisers quality options for conferencing, that didn’t break the bank.

“Although the effect of the recession appears to be easing, we realise times are still tight for many businesses,” he says. “Our conference packages are realistically-priced, but still offer top quality hotel facilities and services.”

The full-residential conference package is a new offering from the Duxton this year. Starting at $175 per person, it includes buffet breakfast in the award-winning Grill restaurant.

“This is an extremely competitive price,” says James Cowan, “and we think it makes it a very viable option for businesses bringing people in from out of town.”

The Duxton Hotel Wellington has some of the largest conference facilities in New Zealand, including the largest ballroom. It can host two conferences of up to 850 delegates each, making it Welllington’s largest conference venue. Over 150,000 people attend conferences at the hotel every year.

Situated in the heart of the Harbour Capital, the hotel is close to the eating and nightlife areas of the Cuba and Courtenay Quarters; and is only a few minutes from Wellington’s vibrant waterfront.
