Leading Aussie liquor retailer keen on Hawke’s Bay
Syrah
Hawke’s Bay wines and Syrah in
particular, look likely to grace the shelves of
Australia’s leading retail liquor stores following success
at this country’s largest wine event held recently in
Australia.
Lyn Bevin, Executive Officer from Hawke’s Bay’s regional wine organisation, took a selection of Hawke’s Bay wines to the New Zealand in a Glass events held in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane at the end of February.
Now the Coles Liquor Group has requested a submission from Hawke’s Bay Syrah producers that has got local wineries busy selecting their wines for HBWG to submit.
“Wineries have until 17 March to get their wines and the appropriate information to us and I know there has been much activity going on to meet that deadline,” Ms Bevin said.
