Kan to MC Mag Awards
Recently returned to NZ
shores, comedian and writer Raybon Kan is set to woo the
magazine industry as MC of this year’s prestigious
Magazine Awards, on June 24th at Rendezvous Hotel.
The former lawyer has performed at international comedy festivals including Edinburgh and Montreal, and has an upcoming show in the NZ International Comedy Festival in May entitled Discomfort Zone.
“We’re looking forward to working with Raybon, he is one of New Zealand’s most iconic comedians”, says Kath Hurley, Marketing Manager of the MPA.
“He has previously been named NZ’s Best Comedian; one of the 50 Most Trusted Kiwis; and one of the Top 10 Worst Dressed.
On TV, he’s won Test the Nation three times, so will be an intellectual match for our media-savvy audience”.
This is the 14th year of the Magazine Awards, which is the only competition to celebrate all aspects of the craft of magazine publishing in this country.
The competition closes on 13 April, and the gala presentation dinner is sure to be an entertaining night out. Booking indications are being taken now – first in, best seated!
