Monthly traffic update
4.6% International passenger volumes , excluding transits, throughout February 2010 reflected continued encouraging growth led by strong results on the Trans-Tasman particularly Sydney and Gold Coast routes.
12.3% Japan arrivals also showed growth reflecting improved economic conditions and increased promotional activity from Auckland Airport in partnership with Air New Zealand.
10.8% February 2010 domestic passenger volumes continued strong growth trends, mainly driven by Jetstar replacing Qantas from July 2009.
40.3% Arrivals from China and Hong Kong were up significantly, mainly driven by the Chinese New Year falling in February this year.
