Whitcoulls the Top Book Store in NZ
Whitcoulls is the top book store in New Zealand for customer satisfaction.
The latest retail survey done by Roy Morgan Research, covering the year to September 2009, shows Whitcoulls scored 87.9%. Borders was in second place with 87.5%, while the average customer satisfaction score for all the book stores surveyed was 84.4%.
Mark Dansey, Head of New Zealand Operations, Roy Morgan Research said: “Whitcoulls, a leading local retailer for over 100 years, had strong and consistent customer satisfaction results throughout 2009.”
The results are part of an extensive survey of more than 11,000 respondents aged 14 and over conducted by Roy Morgan Research each year.
Whitcoulls marketing manager Catherine Collins said the high customer satisfaction score was very pleasing. “The Whitcoulls name is part of New Zealand’s retail history and we have hundreds of thousands of loyal customers throughout the country. We really appreciate their custom and it’s great to know they like us too.”
