Cathay Pacific London Services Affected by Iceland Volcano Outbreak
Due to the closure of airports in the UK and parts of Europe, Cathay Pacific Airways has announced that the airline’s flights to and from London, Amsterdam, Paris and Frankfurt have been affected by the spread of volcano ash from Iceland.
Cathay Pacific’s flights to and from New Zealand are not affected and today’s flight from Auckland to Hong Kong, CX108, will depart as normal at 1.20pm.
Passengers, with onward bookings to UK/Europe are advised to first check the airline’s website, www.cathaypacific.co.nz, to get the latest flight information before leaving for the airport. Passengers travelling from New Zealand to London over the next two days on Cathay Pacific can change their bookings without incurring a rebooking charge.
Cathay Pacific continues to monitor the situation closely and will issue further updates once more information becomes available.
