Office heroes given chance to win a day off work

Office heroes given chance to win a day off work

Tomorrow, Wednesday 28 April, is Administrative Professionals’ Day and recruiters Drake are giving Kiwi bosses the chance to reward their hard working office heroes – secretaries, administrators, assistants and receptionists – with a day off work.

Drake is asking bosses to tell them why their office heroes deserve a day off. The most deserving hero from each of Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Palmerston North, Wellington and Christchurch will win a day off work, while Drake will give them a bouquet of flowers and provide the boss with a skilled temporary worker for the day, free of charge.

Gay Barton, General Manager of Drake, says the hard work done by secretaries, administrators, assistants and receptionists often goes unnoticed and unrewarded.

“Administrative Professionals’ Day provides a great opportunity for employers to take the time to thank their support staff, whose work is often done behind the scenes and is therefore largely unrecognised.

“Drake Office Heroes is an easy way for employers to say thanks, and what better way to do that by nominating them for a day off!”

How to enter Drake Office Heroes
- Visit www.drake.co.nz/officeheroes, or email your nomination (100 words or less saying why your office hero deserves a day off work) to drakeheroes@gmail.com
