Bangkok protests blog launched
The Bangkok-office of global adventure tour operator, Intrepid Travel, has today launched a blog to provide a local's view into the ongoing political tension in Bangkok.
Intrepid Travel has been running small group adventures in Thailand for over 20 years. Its team in Bangkok is experienced in managing situations that arise due to political unrest and natural disasters. They live, work and play in Bangkok so provide a very real perspective on what is occurring.
The blog will be updated regularly to provide an insight into what daily life is like in the city and what decisions Intrepid Travel is making regarding the running of its trips.
Intrepid Travel is still able to operate its Thailand trips. The protests are contained to an area of the city away from the main tourist areas and the hotels Intrepid uses. It has taken precautionary measures such as switching the train stations it uses in Bangkok to avoid the protest areas.
