‘Excitement Index’ rates world leading security
‘Excitement Index’ rates world leading security camera technology
Auckland, New Zealand: Security company Mi5 Limited (trading as Mi5 Security) is ranked among the top performing security companies in New Zealand according to a survey by the National Business Review.
The NBR surveyed business managers from around
the security sector on which companies they believed were
the most exciting. The responses were then rated against an
“excitement index”.
The results put Mi5 second
behind investigation services company, Paragon, making the
Auckland-based business the top technology company.
Mi5 CEO, Helen Wattie says the NBR survey proves the company has the ‘big tick’ from within the industry.
“Our
products are extremely innovative. The RedEye Wireless, for
example, is the world’s first wireless and wire-free range
of outdoor portable surveillance. Images are sent
immediately through the cellular network to your mobile
phone or computer, and are accessible via the Internet.
The respondents in the NBR survey said Mi5 continually
delivered creative solutions appropriate to the
investigations.
“One company surveyed was having problems being targeted halfway through building new homes,” says Ms Wattie. “People were breaking in at night and stealing copper cabling - causing delays, inconvenience and unexpected and unwelcome costs.”
The Mi5 RedEye Wireless camera provides them with a discrete system with night vision and solved the problem.
“It’s great to have the recognition of our ability to deliver security into remote and rural areas where surveillance has not been available in the past.”
Ms Wattie says that up to now wireless security solutions have been costly to implement and were often too restrictive to achieve the best results.
“Now, with the set and forget nature of the RedEye Wireless, business owners can conduct their own sting operations and take control of their own security needs.”
