Base 2 continues to add to client list and appoints new Senior Technical Engineer
Outsourced IT solutions
specialists’ base 2 have recently added some
impressive clients to their expanding register. Following a
strong beginning in 2008, the company has continued to grow
and will next month welcome a new Senior Engineer on board
as a result.
Recent client additions
include: Kate Sylvester, a name synonymous with
fashion in NZ, who will benefit from a full base 2 Managed
Service solution where all aspects of IT accountability are
handed over to base 2; leading independent training provider
David Forman will also utilise the base 2 Managed
Service solution which in their case will also include
Trusted Mail, the company’s SPAM and virus filter, and
backupeasy, base 2’s online secure back up service. Also
joining base 2 is charity Youthline, this year
celebrating 40 years of service to the community. Base 2
will provide Youthline with its IPFX Telephony
solution, backup services and ongoing IT consultancy, which
will continue to enable the Youthline services to the
community.
‘We’re absolutely thrilled to have clients of this calibre joining us,’ says base 2 Managing Director Greg Sharp, who believes that base 2’s focus on communication and working with clients to really understand their business objectives is what is making base 2 so successful. ‘From the outset we have always believed in partnering with our clients and ensuring that each and every solution we put in place is working as hard as possible for the client.’
In line with this growth, Base 2 have recently appointed Senior Technical Engineer, Ivan Wood who will join the company on June 1. Technically, Ivan brings with him some impressive credentials having implemented solutions for 300 users at Ports of Auckland, 600 users at Express Logistics and hosted solutions for Instant Finance. Ivan joins from Securecom where he was the Senior Engineer responsible for the Professional Service team, managing the delivery of service to clients.
Sharp says Wood brings with him a reputation for asking the difficult questions in order to get the desired result for a client. ‘Ivan will take senior level responsibility for client planning, reporting and engineering support,’ says Sharp. ‘Ivan’s expertise complement those of our existing Engineering team and it means we can continue to grow our business into the larger user base arena.’
