Ecoya appoints new independent director

Ecoya Limited (NZSX: ECO) is adding retail and marketing skills to its board with the appointment of Sydney-based communications specialist Deeta Colvin.

Ecoya executive chairman Geoff Ross says Ms Colvin brings unparalleled communications and retail skills to the board of the recently-listed bath & body and fragrance company.

“Our stated growth strategy is to expand the business in international markets and Deeta brings to the board table valuable skills in media, fashion and retail much of it involving global brands.

“She has also been a regular visitor to New Zealand with her husband Rod McGeoch who is on a number of boards here. We’re very much looking forward to tapping in to her wide business experience,” Mr Ross says.

Deeta Colvin (B.A.) has wide communications and retail skills founded in fashion, perfumes and cosmetics, travel and the media. She is a former owner of high profile marketing and PR consultancy Colvin Communications which specialised in lifestyle, consumer products and corporate issues and management.

She has been a director of corporate relations for PBL Media and has consulted to some of the world’s biggest fashion and cosmetic brands including Louis Vuitton, Dior, Fendi and Versace.
