‘Home Assessment Tool’ Can Help Owners of Leaky
Homes, Says Future-Proof Building
The
Future-Proof Building initiative welcomes the Government’s
announcement to contribute to leaky home repair costs
yesterday as a turning point for both affected homeowners
and the building industry.
“Yesterday’s announcement adds a necessary injection of energy across the building industry”, says Future-Proof Building CEO, Aidan Jury. “It is time to stop wasting money on lawyers. Let’s put the money directly where it needs to go.”
“We would encourage people to take the time to work with proven FPB product partners and tradespeople to ensure that the repair work not only fixes the problems but improves homeowners’ quality of life and saves them money over the long run.”
Jury adds that the recently launched, free, online Home Assessment Tool – available at www.fpb.co.nz - is a useful place for homeowners to start to find the best products and partners to make desired improvements.
“The Home Assessment Tool is set up to enable homeowners to create an action plan, so they can start to improve their homes and contact the best suppliers to do so. It will show people what they need to do to do it right, as well as how much they could save on their household bills by applying Future-Proof Building solutions.”
