SKYCITY Sells 50 Percent Stake in Vista Entertainment Solutions to Vista Management Team
AUCKLAND, 24 May 2010 – Vista Entertainment Solutions today announced, for the first time since launching in 1995, a 100 percent ownership by management and staff. This follows the buyout of the 50 percent stake previously held by SKYCITY. The move follows several years of steady growth for Vista, a developer and supplier of cinema management software worldwide.
Vista CEO, Murray Holdaway, said “For some time, SKYCITY had signalled that it wished to divest its cinema arm and related businesses and focus on its core destinational casino and entertainment businesses.
Our relationship with SKYCITY was right at the time, and permitted our company to grow to its present leadership position. However, we are delighted to now have full control of the business and are excited about further expansion globally.”
SKYCITY CEO Nigel Morrison said, “We are pleased that the existing Vista shareholders and Management Team have acquired our 50% stake and wish Murray and the Vista Management Team all the best for their continued future expansion and success”.
