T.H.E Terrace Heights Estate Pinot Noir 2007 wins Trophy

Terrace Heights Estate Pinot Noir 2007 was awarded the Trophy for Champion Pinot Noir 2007 at the International Cool Climate Wine Show 2010.

The awards presentation dinner was held on Friday 21st May at the Mornington Racing Club on the Mornington Peninsula near Melbourne.

The Awards are held annually and aim to raise the profile of wines from cool climate regions such as New Zealand,Tasmania & Southern areas of Australia.Also eligible are wines from concurrent regions in the Northern Hemisphere.

Steve Hammond,owner of Terrace Heights Estate attended the event and was happy with the outcome. “This Pinot Noir 2007 of ours has consistently been well received in the show system gaining now 2 trophies and 4 Gold medals as well as a 5 Star Cuisine Rating amongst its awards.The only pity is there is not a lot of it remaining in the retail trade” Mr.Hammond commented. “As a single vineyard producer we rely on the same small site for our Pinot Noir wine each vintage so we strive for consistency of crop management in the vineyard whilst receiving excellent wine making from the team at Whitehaven in Marlborough”
