Planning To Succeed

Planning To Succeed

Despite tough economic times, The Marketing Company has recently managed to generate more than $1.8 million in additional potential sales for Waikato SMEs – and it’s giving this opportunity to businesses around the North Island.

The Essential Marketing Boot Camp is a two-day intensive marketing course, the first of its kind in New Zealand. At the end, participants walk out with a bound 12-month marketing plan containing clear strategies that they can put into practice immediately.

“If you look at the most successful companies in the world, I have yet to find one that doesn’t have an active marketing plan each year,” says The Marketing Company Director, Ambrose Blowfield.

“While the official statistics claim that around half of small-to-medium businesses have marketing plans, we have found the reality to be far more extreme. Less than 5 percent of the 1000-2000 SMEs we have met around New Zealand have an active marketing plan. As a result they’re probably wasting time, money and effort in the wrong areas, and missing out on opportunities.”

Since it began a year ago, the programme has helped businesses around the North Island generate several million dollars’ worth of additional sales, and save thousands more on unsuccessful marketing strategies. In October, a Boot Camp held in Hamilton helped the 20 attendees generate more than $1.8 million of potential sales.

The Marketing Company is the country’s leading specialist sales and marketing training company. Since 2004, they have provided sales and marketing training and consulting to more than 1000 businesses and individuals throughout New Zealand.
