Team Management Services (TMS) has sponsored 10 places for New Zealand Leadership Week (25th June to 2nd July 2010).
The week is organised by the Sir Peter Blake Trust.
TMS is hosting a one day ‘Introduction to Leadership’ programme designed to inspire, develop and celebrate Kiwi leadership.
Katy Golding, the programme director said: “We are thrilled TMS has decided to play a part as we seek to find more leaders in our community, especially from Not-for-Profit Organisations.”
All sponsored participants attending the TMS programme are women from organisations such as the IHC, Youthline and Gifted kids!
“I’m not surprised all the participants on our course are women,” TMS chief executive Peter Robinson said. “Research from our management tools like the Leadership Behaviours Profile show women consistently get higher scores, especially in areas like people motivation and effective communication.”
“From this data it could be interpreted women are better leaders or that women in our samples have had to be exceptional to achieve their management positions,” Robinson said.
