Unions Agree to recommend ratification
On Tuesday 27th July GO Wellington and Valley Flyer bus services will be disrupted between 11am to 2.30pm to allow members of the Wellington Tramways and Manufacturing and Construction Workers Unions to consider the company’s offer of a new Collective Employment Agreement which will be presented to them with a recommendation to accept the offer by the Union negotiating team.
“Negotiations have been very constructive” says Zane Fulljames, Chief Operating Officer of NZ Bus. “Both parties have sought to understand the needs of one another, in order to achieve a positive outcome for our people , our customers and our business .”
The following services will be affected on Tuesday
July 27th
• No Go Wellington services will operate
between 11 am and 2.30pm
• No Valley Flyer services
will operate between 11 am and 2.30pm
• The Airport
Flyer will operate every 30 minutes during this time
Full bus services will be available until 10.30 am and resume at 3 pm .School bus services will not be affected .
Both the Union and NZ Bus say “We apologize for any inconvenience this causes our customers and trust that with 14 days advance notice, they can plan their day’s activities accordingly.”
