CityLink Appoints John Heard

CityLink Appoints John Heard as Marketing and Product Development Manager
CityLink Chief Operating Officer Brian Phillips , says he is delighted to announce the appointment of John Heard as Marketing and Product Development manager for CityLink.

“John is very highly regarded both in New Zealand and overseas and he will help us achieve our aim of positioning the company as the best open access provider to New Zealand businesses.”

John, who recently returned from Paris where he was CTO for eServGlobal Pty Limited, is widely considered to be one of the leaders of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry.

John was employed in various overseas senior management roles including IT multinational Sun Microsystems Inc and CityLink is fortunate to have secured his services in the dynamic global environment.

“He also has an intimate knowledge of CityLink as he was one of the original architects of the Wellington fibre optic system that was the foundation of the company.

“We are expecting John to identify key areas and opportunities for the company to shape future markets and business opportunities to position CityLink as a leader in the broadband market.”
