New name, new approach for Pacific Islands Trade

New name, new approach for Pacific Islands Trade & Investment Commissions

The Auckland trade office the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat has changed its name to Pacific Islands Trade & Invest as part of a new brand identity.

The new brand will be rolled out over the next 12 months and is much more than a simple facelift and represents the organisation’ strengthening identity as the region’s premier export, tourism and investment facilitator.

Auckland Office Trade Commissioner Adam Denniss said the release of the new branding aligns fortuitously with his new posting and is part of a new era of change.

“It’s a fresh and modern design and I look forward to it becoming synonymous with our achievement going forward.”

The spiral of 14 blue and green circles represents the Forum Island countries; the colours of the ocean, the diversity of countries, cultures and people of the Pacific.

The trade offices of Auckland, Sydney, Beijing and Tokyo are the international trade and investment promotion arm of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIFS) based in Fiji.

Pacific Islands Trade & Invest is entrusted with the task of promoting the broader economic interests of Pacific Island Countries internationally with a specific focus on export facilitation, investment and tourism promotion.

Director for Economic Governance of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, Dr Chakriya Bowman, said, “Our vision is one of greater international opportunities for businesses in Pacific Island Countries to build a better future through more sustainable communities and greater prosperity.”
