The world loves New Zealand

The world loves New Zealand
- finalists announced in the Auckland export awards

It’s not just for sporting achievements that we have a huge international presence - our local export businesses never cease to amaze us at Export New Zealand Auckland, says Catherine Mullane, executive officer.

“Who would have thought we had in our midst wildly successful companies exporting natural health products, robotics machinery for handling pellets and packing, and smart energy systems to save power?” she said.

These are among the finalists in the Air New Zealand Cargo Auckland Export Awards 2010 organized by Export New Zealand Auckland.

Convenor of judges, Hugh Cronwright, says he was surprised and impressed by the strength of this year’s entries, considering the tough world-wide economic conditions.

“The increase in numbers and the expansion of industry types entered this year is great to see,” he said.

“The strength of entries is a reflection of the recognition the Awards have achieved amongst the Auckland region business community.”
