Daniel Wright Joins Colenso BBDO As Digital CD

Colenso BBDO has announced Daniel Wright will be joining the agency as Digital Creative Director at the end of the month.

Wright joins Colenso from Tribal DDB where he has been Creative Director since March 2008.

Colenso BBDO managing director Nick Garrett comments: “Dan is a great addition to the team and we are really excited about getting him on board. From the minute we met we knew he shared our passion for the work and we believe that between Dan and Aaron Turk – our other Digital CD – we now have the strongest digital offering in New Zealand.”

Daniel comments: “I have always admired the work coming out of Colenso - and I'm excited to be joining Nick Worthington, Nick Garrett, Turk and their bloody clever team.

“It was always going to be a tough decision to leave a group I have so much respect for, but from where I'm standing, Nick and his team look to have things beautifully lined up: Broad ideas about what digital can be, enviable client relationships, and stellar talent across many disciplines aligned to produce exciting, open-ended ideas. I can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Colenso BBDO executive creative director Nick Worthington comments: “I’m delighted Dan will be joining us at Colenso, he’s clearly one of the brightest minds working in the digital area and the more people we’ve got like Dan across our clients the better.”

Daniel brings with him over 15 years experience working for some of the world’s leading digital agencies, and with clients including Coca-cola, Nike, McDonald’s, Cadbury and Diageo. His work has regularly won awards in New Zealand and the UK, including a D&AD Pencil, several Cannes Lions and awards at One Show and AXIS.

Daniel has been a member of the CAANZ Digital Leadership Group and served on the judging panel of AXIS in 2009/2010.
