Kong is Coming to a Town Near You
Häfele New Zealand Ltd proudly announces the arrival of ‘Kong’. On the 2nd of July a Mobile Design Centre, dubbed ‘Kong’ disimbarked at South Island’s Littleton dock from Australia.
Weighing in at a massive 14 tonne and measureing 12.5m long, 2.6m wide and 3.9m high, this sleek black bus is a sight to behold. It’s easy to understand why it was named after the colossal creature brought to life by Peter Jackson.
‘Kong’ is packed with the latest from Häfele’s vast product range. There are fittings for the kitchen and bathroom, door hardware, ideas for lighting and plenty more. “We have Design Centres in the main cities throughout New Zealand, but want to take the concept one step further by bringing our products to the public”, says Greg Adams, National Product and Marketing Manager. “We aim to demonstrate that European style and quality is readily available right here in NZ.”
‘Kong’ is rolling at a steady pace north and will continue its journey, meeting the public on the way, until March 2011.
The people of Christchurch will get an opportunity to see and touch the products when it stops off at the Christchurch Arts Centre on the 14th of August and Placemakers Cranford Street on August the 21st.
The development and manufacture of hardware, dynamic product range organisation for the many different markets, stock keeping of more than 100,000 articles, dispatch logistics and customer-friendly documentation of products in printed catalogues and online shops. Häfele sets itself apart from its competitors with its comprehensive universal and special product ranges, its creative marketing channels, its unique range of services such as delivery from stock, the “Complete Häfele” catalogues and the easy link electronic ordering system, and with the company philosophy of a Swabian family-run business.
