Latest Readership Figures Show Groove Guide On Top

Latest Readership Figures Reveal The Groove Guide Fastest Growing Magazine Overall In New Zealand

Cast your mind back to a simpler time – Friday 28 May 2010. Lindsay Lohan was still blissfully heedless of the US penal system, Kanye had yet to discover Twitter’s charms and weekly street ‘zine and gig guide The Groove Guide humbly took the title of ‘Fastest Growing Weekly Magazine’. With the latest Nielsen’s readership figures* released today, we are pleased to announce that The Groove Guide is officially New Zealand’s fastest growing publication overall, upping the last quarter’s result of a 40% increase and officially delivering a 60% readership increase in the last year.

The increase sees The Groove Guide’s weekly audience jump from 28, 000 to 32, 000. Editor of The Groove Guide Leonie Hayden commented, “What the **** did you expect? We’re awesome!”

Couple this readership with brother publication Real Groove magazine and you get an unduplicated audience of 73,000 *, meaning the Groove trademark is still the country’s leading music and pop culture magazine brand and by a bigger margin than ever.
