Your Own Personal Shop Assistant

- lasoo.co.nz launches mobile applications for NZ Shoppers -

New Zealand shoppers are about to receive another tool in their quest for bargains today as Lasoo launches iPad and iPhone applications.

The Lasoo iPad application is one of only a few New Zealand iPad applications currently in the market and will allow shoppers to search, sort and select to find the best deals while they are out shopping.

The applications will bring all the functionality of the Lasoo website to the user’s iPad or iPhone allowing them to compare prices, view product images and create shopping lists. It will seamlessly integrate with the device’s GPS to show the nearest retail store, complete with a map, contact details and opening hours.

“The applications will help transform mobile devices into personal shop assistants giving tech-savvy shoppers a wealth of information, saving time and money,” says David Nation, General Manager of Sales and Marketing for Lasoo.
“New Zealanders have always been early adopters of new technology and we expect the applications to be very popular with time-poor shoppers.”

The launch of the mobile applications comes after last month’s successful launch of the Lasoo website, with the site attracting over 30,000 unique browsers and more than one million page impressions in its first month.
“We are extremely happy with how quickly the site has progressed and we are continually talking to new retailers to get more catalogues on the site before Christmas,” says Nation.

Lasoo currently gives Kiwi shoppers access to catalogues from some of New Zealand’s biggest retailers such as The Warehouse, Farmers, Paperplus, Bunnings, Office Products Depot, as well as Nosh.

The Lasoo iPad and iPhone applications can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store.
