Missing Lawyer Subject to Law Society Enquiry
Missing Lawyer Subject to Law Society
Enquiry
LawFuel - The Law Jobs and News Wire
- Police in Wellington suspended a two-day search for a
missing lawyer on Sunday night after failing to find any
sign of him.
The Wellington lawyer who went missing on the south coast of Wellington is believed to have been the subject of a Law Society enquiry, according to the NBR 'Briefcase' column.
Robert Logan, 51, went missing at the beginning of September when his car was found at the Owhiro Bay quarry and up to 60 police have been involved in the search, including police dive squad and volunteers who hunted for Mr Logan.
The Law Society made no comment about the alleged enquiry, but reliable sources advised that there was an enquiry, although the exact nature of it was not specified. Mr Logan specialises in planning and resource management law matters.
John Bowie, writing the 'Briefcase' column said the Owhiro Bay areas is ironically the same area in which Mr Logan had successfully challenged the Wellington City Council’s efforts to sell sections next to the quarry in the Environment Court.
The search is currently called off.
