Chamber Examines Council Candidates’ Attitudes
Chamber Examines Council Candidates’ Attitudes to Business
The Wellington Employers’ Chamber of Commerce has released the results of its recent survey of Wellington Council candidates. City Council and Mayoral candidates were sent the survey as were Greater Wellington Candidates in the Wellington constituency.
“The survey was designed to explore candidates’ views on key actions and policies which we believe will enhance Wellington as a good city to do business in,” said Chamber spokesperson Jo Bransgrove.
“The responses give a clear indication of candidates’ attitudes to business. There is clearly a wide range of views and different degrees of understanding as to the issues affecting business.
“We encourage Wellington businesses and others to scrutinise the candidates’ responses and hope this will assist them in casting their votes,” she said.
Ms Bransgrove emphasised that the Chamber wants to support a set of sound policies which will enhance the local business environment. It does not intend to endorse any particular candidates.
