Ti Point releases wines for summer savouring

Ti Point winemaker, Tracy Haslam, has released two beautiful wines, 2010 Ti Point Rose and Pinot Gris, perfect for summer savouring.

A small part of the Ti Point Vineyard was handpicked 12 weeks before the rest of the vineyard and set aside for this special Rose varietal. These grapes were not crushed but held overnight in a press for skin contact, followed by cool fermentation.

The result is a generous weight Rose with a pretty nose of strawberries and flowers, and subtle spice undertones. The palate is signature Haslam with layers of flavour; an inviting creamy texture with lingering limey finish. This is a great wine to accompany food and friends on a hot summer day.

The 2010 Ti Point Pinot Gris is a serious style wine which can be served now or cellared for a few years to reach its full potential. It makes the perfect accompaniment with chicken, fish and pasta dishes.

This vintage has a classic generosity of good Pinot Gris grapes.  Sourced from the Waihopai Valley, Marlborough, the grapes were put through a special fermentation process which saw two parcels blended together.

The 2010 Pinot Gris reflects Haslam’s wish to produce wines with seamless flavour and smooth developed characters. The bouquet is a juicy fruit mix with hints of citrus and pear, while the palate is a soft supple balance of ripe fruit and nice acid.

The 2010 Ti Point Rose and Pinot Gris are available now at wine outlets nationwide. RRP $21.90
